Short sleeves crack me up.
They're so wee.
In the photo, we have two sleeves and a partial back for this top from last summer's Vogue Knitting.
It's in my potential projects folder in the sidebar, but apparently I didn't save any of the identifying information I carefully put in when I created the folder. Bad Stephanie!
I like this style. It'll be good over a tank top or dress in the summer and under a cardigan or blazer in cooler weather. I think that deep v-neck style is flattering on most people and great for showing off a gorgeous necklace. I'm using Classic Elite Premiere, which I'm really liking in this color. I just swatched something with the same yarn in black and it was a nightmare. It was so soft that I was covered with fuzz after working with it. I felt like the surface of the strand was shredding in my fingers. The pattern had a lot of twisted stitches and a lot more stress on the yarn than in this plain stockinette piece and I'm hoping that's what the problem was and not that the black dye degraded the yarn or that I got a bum skein. The only changes I'm making to the pattern are a gauge change (following directions for the largest size is giving me the right dimensions though, so it's not much of a modification) and to shape the sides on the front pieces also. As written, the pattern only has side shaping on the back. Those wacky Vogue pattern writers, what *will* they think of next?
